BLOG: Humidity/Dewpoints On The Climb

What a beautiful start to the weekend - weatherwise at least. Sunshine returned today and helped to warm us up to 90 degrees. So it was definitely hot in the sunshine but you could get a break in the shade since the humidity/dewpoints weren't very high. Both the temperatures and the humidity/dewpoints will be climbing the next few days.

There is a new hot, muggy air mass moving our way. We will get back to the low 90s with sunshine again tomorrow before the brunt of this air mass arrives Monday. Highs will be in the mid 90s Monday and then again so on Tuesday with a heat index even higher. Two different storms off to our west will transport the heat and mugginess our way. However, there is only the chance for a thunderstorm on Monday and then a better chance on Tuesday when one of the cold fronts does move through.

After the cold front passes, temperatures will drop back into the 80s midweek. There still could be a lingering shower on Wednesday, but we will clear out for the middle of the week. We will be watching for another storm system to move this way possibly next weekend.
