Man Charged With Shooting A Passing Car

MONROVIA, Md. (AP) -- A Monrovia man is charged with shooting a rifle at a passing car and injuring the driver.

David Keeney, 22, was being held on $150,000 bail Monday. No defense attorney is listed in court records.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says Keeney fired a .22-caliber bullet through the right front window of a Ford Explorer as it traveled past his home in the 4900-block of Ed McClain Road around 5:20 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the 35-year-old driver suffered injuries to his right arm, possibly from shards of glass.

Cpl. Jennifer Bailey says Keeney had no argument with the driver, and it's not clear whether he intended to hit the car.
