Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say they are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Germantown.

Police say the incident happened about 1 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Germantown Road and Aircraft Drive. Authorities say a man was crossing the southbound lanes of Germantown Road when he was struck by a silver 2000 Lexus.

The man was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.

Authorities say the driver of the Lexus, a Germantown resident, remained at the scene.
