CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a man is in custody in Allegany County after a barricade situation ended without injuries.
Maryland State Police say the episode ended Tuesday morning when 36-year-old Michael Wilhelm walked out of his Cresaptown home and surrendered. He was arrested and charged with four counts of first degree assault and four counts of reckless endangerment. Additional charges may be pending.
Troopers arrived late Monday night at the residence on Spruce Street after a neighbor reported gunshots. When troopers arrived, more gunshots were heard coming from inside the home.
