Firefighters Put Out Mulch Fire In Prince George's Co.

ACCOKEEK, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County fire officials say they have extinguished a large mulch fire that burned for hours in Accokeek.

Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says firefighters were called to the fire at Berry and Manning roads about 3 a.m. Wednesday. Brady says the fire was in a tall and large pile of mulch.

He says additional firefighters and water tankers were called in to help extinguish the blaze.

Brady says no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
