ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A panel on legislative redistricting in Maryland is releasing its schedule for 12 hearings across the state.
Raquel Guillory, a spokeswoman for Gov. Martin O’Malley, says the schedule will be released on Wednesday.
Lawmakers will gather in a special General Assembly session in October to redraw the boundaries of the state’s eight congressional districts, based on the results of the 2010 census.
Redistricting for state legislative districts will be taken up in January during the regular 90-day session.
