Weekend Track Work To Affect 4 Of 5 Metro Lines
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Weekend maintenance projects will affect four of five Metro lines this weekend and result in delays of up to 30 minutes.
On the orange line, buses will replace trains between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations to allow for construction work. Customers traveling through the area should allow about 30 minutes of extra travel time.
On the red line, trains will share one track between Dupont Circle and Judiciary Square to allow for ceiling repairs at Farragut North, also resulting in 30 minute delays.
Finally, on the blue and yellow lines, trains will share one track between the Braddock Road and Van Dorn Street stations as crews install new rail. Customers can expect delays of 20 minutes.
