I think most of you know by now that I’m far from a soccer fan. I would rather watch the Baltimore Orioles struggle on a nightly basis then watch the biggest of soccer matches. Does that make me an idiot? Maybe, but that’s who I am. Anyway I did get caught up a bit in the Women’s World Cup which ended yesterday with Japan defeating the United States in penalty kicks. I pretty much watched the whole game and what I saw was a US squad that absolutely dominated the Japanese team but couldn’t put the ball in the net. I think they hit three posts in the first half. In my mind Japan didn’t win this game, the US lost it. Good news I can know go back to pretending the sport doesn’t exist.
