Frederick Police Holding Meeting On Slaying
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frederick are reaching out to neighbors of a woman whose slaying more than two weeks ago has yet to yield an arrest.
City Police Chief Kim Dine is scheduled to lead the session at the Hillcrest Commons Community Center Wednesday night.
Police say they'll talk about the fatal shooting July 8 of Tranice Richardson and provide information about local agencies that offer support services.
Police say they're committed to arresting their suspect in the case. He is Melvin Smith, 27, who was romantically involved with Richardson.
