Maryland-Based Firm To Move Headquarters To Alabama
MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (AP) -- Executives with Wise Metals Group say the company is moving its corporate headquarters from Baltimore to Muscle Shoals, with the transition expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Wise Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David D'Addario announced the move to Alabama Tuesday afternoon.
The TimesDaily of Florence reports that decision could bring as many as a dozen corporate administrators to the Muscle Shoals area.
Wise Alloys, an aluminum can sheet plant in Muscle Shoals, is a part of the company's group.
D'Addario said Wise Metals Group's holdings have become more concentrated in northwest Alabama and the southern U.S., so it makes sense to move the headquarters closer to those operations.
