Two From D.C. Are Selected To Metro Board
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says a District of Columbia councilmember is among two people who have joined the transit agency's board of directors.
The agency says Councilmember Muriel Bowser represents Ward 4 and succeeds Tommy Wells as a principal director. Metro says Thomas J. Bulger succeeds Michael Brown as an alternate director. Bulger is president of Government Relations Inc.
Metro's board of directors has 16 members who represent the district, Maryland, Virginia and the federal government. Officials say there still are two vacancies on the board.
