The ink wasn’t even dry on the new CBA between the NFL owners and players when the Baltimore Ravens broke out a giant pair of scissors. Willis McGahee cut. Kelly Gregg cut. Todd Heap cut. Derrick Mason cut. Four guys who have been a major part of this organization were told they were going to be let go on Thursday. The moves give the Ravens millions of dollars in savings but was still a tough pill to swallow for fans. Word is that the Ravens would like to bring Heap, Gregg, and Mason back at lesser salaries. The way I see it, Ozzie Newsome and company had a lot of time to sit and just look at film and lists and I think they fell in love with a guy or two on that free agent list. One things for sure, we’ll find out this weekend.
