Warrant Charges Teen In Infant Abduction
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A 16-year-old girl has been charged as an adult with abducting a 7-month-old Baltimore boy and taking him to Washington.
A Baltimore court commissioner issued a warrant Tuesday for the arrest of Jonae Boozer charging her with two counts of child abduction, assault and burglary.
Police say Boozer was left in charge of the baby, Ki'Yauhn Birch, on Friday evening while his father went to the store. They were found early Monday in northeast Washington.
Boozer was taken into custody and questioned.
The Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office says officials are headed to Washington to serve the warrant.
