Firefighter Injured In Blaze That Destroys Home
ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- One firefighter was injured in a blaze that destroyed a home in Elkton.
The fire was reported about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday by a passing motorist who saw flames coming from the ranch-style home.
About 40 firefighters responded and battled the blaze for 45 minutes before bringing it under control.
One firefighter was treated and released from a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
Damage was estimated at $360,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
