Maryland Zoo Open Late On Thursdays In August

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Maryland Zoo is offering visitors a chance to check out what their favorite animals are up to in the evenings.

The zoo will stay open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays in August, and admission prices will also be cut in half after 4 p.m. on those days.

Visitors can tour the zoo as the sun goes down, listen to live music and enjoy a happy hour in the Jones Falls Zephyr Train Station.

On Tuesdays, the zoo will offer a 25 percent discount on admission for tickets bought at the gate and a coupon for a free frozen treat. Keepers will also be on hand on Tuesdays to talk to visitors about how they keep the animals cool in the summer.
