Eastbound I-70 Reopens After Western Md. Crash

MYERSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a seven-mile stretch of eastbound Interstate 70 in western Maryland has reopened after a fatal crash.

The section between Hagerstown and Myersville was closed for nearly three hours Tuesday after the single-vehicle accident around 9:30 a.m.

Police told The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that a van traveling east swerved onto the left shoulder, then veered to the right side of the highway and rolled over.

Police say the driver was trapped under the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
