BLOG: Ravens Holding Pattern
Another day gone and the Ravens are still in a holding pattern where there wide receivers are concerned. Malcolm Floyd is still on the open market and for that matter so is Derrick Mason. The Ravens are in dire need of a veteran receiver. If they were to whiff on both guys that means Torrey Smith will be starting opposite Anquan Boldin. Especially coming out of a lockout, that's not going to work. The Ravens expect Smith to help the offense but an immediate impact is unlikely. Time for Ozzie Newsome to put this to bed.
