BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore officials are trying to entice potential developers of a city casino by offering additional cash and assurances.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the new deal would allow the winning bidder to make required infrastructure improvements using up to $6 million from a pot of money created to ease the impact of the casino on surrounding neighborhoods. The casino operator would also get more time to decide how much land it needs.

The new terms are scheduled to be considered by the city’s spending board on Wednesday.

Baltimore is the only one of the five locations in Maryland approved for slots in which the winning bidder must negotiate deals with both the city and the state.

A short while back a Canadian bid on the license and his bid was rejected because he was white. Lottery officials said no minority or women bids were received. The Canadian is now suing the city.

geez, there are always two sides of every coin. Prolly there are good and bad, but I guess let’s keep optimistic about it. I like it because I am a williamhillcasino.com player and I don’t because just like what Sylvan said, where did the politicians got those money. That smells really fishy.
