The AFC is the tougher of the 2 Conferences to pick a sleeper team. Lets be honest everyone, for the most part, is going to pick the usual suspects. It will be the Patriots and the Jets battling it out in the AFC East. Most people will have the Colts and Chargers win their divisions. Of course locally we all believe the Ravens and Steelers will be there from the AFC North. So who will be the surprise teams this year? I have 2 teams, although its hard to call the Chiefs a surprise team. In my humble opinion, there are a lot of mediocre teams in the AFC, but the 2 teams that could surprise everyone is the Chiefs and Texans. I know the Chiefs made the playoffs last year, but everyone was saying they played a weak schedule and the Chargers had too many injuries. People have been predicting the Texans to make the playoffs for the past 5 years. This could finally be that year where they get over the hump. Realistically when you look at it in the AFC you could say the bottom 2 teams in every division stink or at best are mediocre.
