Candidate Wants City To Release Grand Prix Docs

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A mayoral candidate is calling for the release of all documents related to the Baltimore Grand Prix.

Otis Rolley called on Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake on Monday to release all documents related to costs to taxpayers, agreements and operations of the race. Rolley says he does not believe that the Labor Day weekend event will be the economic boost that organizers and city officials say it will be.

Rawlings-Blake's campaign's response was says the three-day event expected to draw 100,000 people to the city will help small businesses, such as restaurants and shops and the city's hotels.
