HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — A minor-league baseball club in Hagerstown is ensuring that the late Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart isn’t forgotten by hometown fans.

The Hagerstown Suns will unveil a memorial plaque Tuesday on their outfield wall as part of Nick Adenhart night at Municipal Stadium. The event includes a silent auction of baseball memorabilia to benefit the Nick Adenhart Memorial Fund. The fund supports nonprofit youth baseball organizations.

Adenhart was from nearby Williamsport.

He and two friends were killed by a drunken driver in Fullerton, Calif., in 2009. The construction worker who caused the crash is serving a prison sentence of 51 years to life.
