Prince George's Deputy Arrested In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Ocean City police have charged an off-duty Prince George's County sheriff's deputy with assault after an altercation during which she allegedly pointed a handgun at a woman's head.

Jennifer Nicole Douglas, 26, of Fort Washington is being held on $150,000 bond.

Police tell WBOC-TV that about 3 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to Baltimore Avenue where the victim said she and Douglas got into an argument. Police say Douglas pulled out a badge and a handgun and pointed the handgun at the victim's head.

The Prince George's County Sheriff said Tuesday that Douglas has been suspended without pay and an internal investigation has been opened.
