Repairs Complete To Water Main In Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Crews have finished repairing a 30-inch water main in Upper Marlboro after a break caused the road to collapse and create a sinkhole, but crews are still working on the roadway.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission said Tuesday that the water main break had been fixed.

Work crews were still making repairs to the roadway in the 6900-block of South Osborne Road, however. The sinkhole created by the water main break was six feet deep and 15 feet wide. One car had to be towed from the scene after falling into the hole.
