Carroll County Hires New Firm To Manage Benefits
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll Commissioners have awarded a contract to handle government employees' pension and retirees' health-care funds to a Baltimore-based consulting firm.
The board voted 4-0 on Thursday to award the contract to Bolton Partners Investment Consulting Group. One commissioner did not attend the meeting.
The Carroll County Times reports that Bolton will be paid $35,000 a year. The contract is for five years, but the county could end it and seek other consulting services.
Previously, Asset Strategy Consultants of Hunt Valley providing the investment services.
