Baltimore County Schools Revamp Lunch Menus

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Lunch menus have been revamped for Baltimore County public schools for the 2011-2012 school year.

Officials say the new menus will debut on Monday, the first day of school, with more fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

The lunch menus for elementary, middle school and high school students on the district's website say the cafeteria's offerings include a daily selection of fresh fruit, dark green and orange vegetables, beans or legumes and whole grains.

School officials also say the county's middle school and high school students will have separate lunch menus.
