Man Wanted In Shooting Of Toddler In Prince George's Co. Surrenders
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Police in Prince George's County say a teenager accused of shooting a toddler in the face has turned himself in.
Police say Deven Angel Matos, 18, surrendered Friday.
Police say Matos exchanged gunfire with another man last weekend, and a stray bullet struck a boy in the face as he was being held in his mother's arms outside an apartment complex in Glenarden.
Authorities earlier in the week had issued an arrest warrant charging Matos with attempted second-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault. The child was hospitalized in critical condition.
