Maryland State Fair Closed Saturday

TIMONIUM, Md. (AP) — The Maryland State Fair says it is closing for the day because of inclement weather.

Fair officials say the midway closed at 3 p.m., buildings are closing at 5 p.m. and the rest of the fairgrounds will close at 6:30 p.m.

Fair officials say they plan to reopen the fairgrounds Sunday morning as scheduled, but say they are continuing to monitor weather conditions.

The state fair in Timonium runs through Sept. 5.
