MTA Restores Service In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has resumed service on local bus, Metro Subway and the Inter County Connector Bus. The service was temporarily suspended Saturday evening because of the public safety threat posed by Hurricane Irene.

Local bus and Metro Subway resumed operations at 6 a.m. Sunday as scheduled. Light rail is expected to return to service on its regular Sunday schedule at 11 a.m. Passengers may experience some delays due to downed trees and power lines.

For the latest information on our services, customers can call Transit Information Services until 11 p.m. Sunday at 410-539-5000 or click here to visit the MTA website.
