Metro To Do Track Work During Labor Day Weekend

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro will do track work on sections of the orange and blue lines over the Labor Day weekend.

Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday buses will replace trains on the orange line between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church Stations. Metro says customers traveling through the work zone should add 30 minutes to their travel time through Monday.

In addition, on the blue line, the Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street stations will be closed starting Friday at 10 p.m.

Customers can get to those stations using free buses from the Eisenhower Avenue station. Customers using the buses should add 30 minutes to their travel time.
