BLOG: Time For A (NFL Rule) Change

The NFL challenge rule is ridiculous.  The current rule states that each team gets two challenges per game and if both are successful they are awarded a third.

It makes no sense at all because what you're saying is if the refs screw up and you overturn them twice we will allow you one more challenge.  Shouldn't it be that if you're right you should continue to be able to challenge?  What if there are two awful calls early in the game but teams opt to not challenge because they want to save them for a crucial call later in the game?  I think officiating sometimes impacts games too much as it is,why impact the outcome of the game further by discouraging teams from challenging bad calls?

What do you guys think?
