BGE Says All Power Outages From Irene Are Restored

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric says it has restored service to all customers who lost power due to Hurricane Irene, except for a few individual outages.

BGE spokeswoman Linda Foy says all Irene-related outages were restored late Sunday night.

On Monday morning, the BGE website showed nearly 900 customers were without power. But Foy says those outages came in after the hurricane.

BGE says there may be situations where the utility believes it has restored service but later finds another problem exists. The utility asks that customers report power outages by telephone.

The total of 885 outages Monday morning was down from about 1,200 on Sunday and 9,000 on Saturday.

Irene knocked out power to more than 750,000 BGE customers last weekend.
