Boaters Need To Be Aware Of Floodgate Debris
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland's Department of Natural Resources is warning Chesapeake Bay boaters to look for floating debris from the opening of the Conowingo Dam floodgates.
The department said Wednesday that the floodgates are being opened because of higher than normal flows caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee. Flows have been on the rise since early Monday and are predicted to continue for the next several days.
