BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for robberies of banks in Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina and Delaware.

A news release from the U.S. Department of Justice said a federal judge on Wednesday sentenced Zachary Scott Shanaberger, 31, to 151 months in prison for four counts of bank robbery. According to his plea agreement, Shanaberger robbed nine banks in Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina and Delaware in 2010.

The agreement says the banks that were robbed included the Bank Annapolis in Severna Park, Md.; the BB&T Bank in Westminster, Md.; the M&T Bank in Frederick, Md. and the Howard bank in Ellicott City, Md.

Authorities say Shanaberger robbed two banks in Marietta, Ga., and banks in Dover, Del.; Kennesaw, Ga.; and Roanoke Rapids, N.C.
