Md. Unveiling New Maritime Security Initiative

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland Natural Resources Police are kicking off a new maritime security initiative.

Natural Resources Police say the new "See Something, Say Something" initiative is designed to educate Marylanders to recognize potential threats to state waterways and the economy. NRP plans to unveil the new initiative Thursday morning at the Baltimore Rowing Club.

The state's waterways and its maritime environment are a key part of Maryland's economy. Maryland Natural Resources Police say the Port of Baltimore supports 136,000 jobs and the state's seafood industry accounts for 7,000 jobs.
