ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative will be taking part in a national coalition of health groups to help enroll the uninsured who are set to become eligible for health coverage in 2014 under the national health care overhaul.

Representatives with "Enroll America" will hold a conference call on Wednesday to talk about the new coalition.

Participants will include Rich Umbdenstock, president of the American Hospital Association, Paul Markovich, chief operating officer of Blue Shield California and Vincent DeMarco, president of the Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative.

The group includes major companies and organizations in the hospital, insurance and pharmaceutical industries. It also includes national organizations representing physicians, community health centers, free clinics, health care consumers and people with major illnesses and disabilities.
