Police: Husband Killed Wife Whose Body Was Found
SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman whose body was found in a rural area of Somerset County was killed by her husband, who later committed suicide.
The body of Alice Davis, 55, of Eden was found Monday. Her husband, Jesse Davis, 57, reported his wife missing on Sept. 4. He was found dead of a self-inflicted injury in his home on Sept. 7.
Maryland State police and the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation say Alice Davis died of blunt force trauma to her head and the manner of death was homicide. Authorities believe Jess Davis killed his wife on Sept. 4, and that he acted alone.
