McLEAN, Va. (AP) — The boards of UNITY: Journalists of Color and the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association have agreed to a partnership.

UNITY’s mission is to ensure American newsrooms reflect the diversity of their communities, and NLGJA advances the interests of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender journalists.

The agreement will allow NLGJA to attend the UNITY 2012 Convention in Las Vegas.
