Mansfield University President To Head Towson University

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — The president of Mansfield University in Pennsylvania has been named the next president of Towson University.

Maravene Loeschke, a graduate of Towson who served as dean of the university’s College of Fine Arts and Communication, will start her new job in January.

Loeschke earned her Ph.d in philosophy from The Union Institute in Cincinnati.

The Baltimore native succeeds Bob Caret, who resigned to become president of the University of Massachusetts System.
