Fire Fills Md. Kohl’s Store With Smoke

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — Officials in Salisbury are investigating the cause of a blaze at a Kohl’s department store that prompted an evacuation of the smoke-filled building.

Fire Chief Jeff Simpson tells the Daily Times that the fire Tuesday morning started in the vicinity of the cosmetics department.

He says it was contained by the building’s sprinkler system and quickly brought under control.

Simpson had no damage estimate.
