Police say the vehicles collided early Sunday morning at the intersection of Tech Road and Route 29. Police say one car was facing a flashing red signal and tried to cross through the intersection, where it was hit by a vehicle that was driving through a flashing yellow signal.

The passenger who was killed has been identified as Marisol Angela Gutierrez, 29, of Woodbridge, Va. She was riding in the car that was facing the flashing yellow signal. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of both cars were taken to hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
