BLOG: Happy October

Surprise! More rain... this shtick is tired, but unfortunately we'll get more mileage out of this theme. A cold, deep upper-level low will meander across the mid-Atlantic over the next couple of days, spreading an abundance across the area with several periods of rainfall. Fortunately for us the rain isn't expected to be too heavy in the greater Baltimore area, but off to the west (west of Hagerstown even) that could be a different story tonight. In any event, some drying should occur early tomorrow, and while we're hesitant to call the day a dry one, at least the first half of the day appears that it should be rain-free.

A slow improving trend begins on Monday, and then picks up in earnest Monday night into Tuesday. That said, Tuesday we could still see a shower or two in the area, but our latest thinking is that the upper-level low finally gets kicked out with partial sunshine by the afternoon.

Temperatures will rise accordingly and at least approach normal levels by the end of the week as sunshine returns.

Have a great day!
