CBS Baltimore you have a great opportunity to educate the public on the hidden factors behind diabetes and you left it hanging wide open. Black males have a higher incdience of having this quiet, yet treatable disease and this was a perfect forum to open the discussion. Unfortunately, you missed it.

Wow, hard to believe since diabetes is easily treated and medical care to treat this disease has improved over the last several decades. Researchers know more about this disease than ever before. Obviously he was not on top of his health. No way this should have happened. Deaths like this bother me simply because they are preventable. Mr. Brown’s death was unnecessary and has a lot to do with black men not going to the doctors and not folllowing doctors advice when they do go. Mr. Brown’s Glucose levels were probably thru the roof. The problem is, he didn’t know it. There are millions of folks walking around with diabetes right now, but don’t know it because they do not go to the doctors for routine screenings/physicals.
