PERRYVILLE, Md. (AP) — Perryville town commissioners have approved a 175-foot sign at the Hollywood Casino.
By a vote of 3-2 Tuesday, the panel granted Penn National Gaming permission to construct the sign, which will be seven times taller than what the town’s Master Signage plan allows.
The Cecil Whig reports that a 31-foot tall cabinet in red and gold with the words “Hollywood Casino” in letters almost six feet tall on both sides will sit atop a pylon. It will be close enough to Interstate 95 to be seen by traffic.
