O'Malley Weighs Jobs Measure In Special Session
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley says he's still considering the possibility of pushing for legislation to help spur job growth in this month's special session on congressional redistricting.
O'Malley, a Democrat, did not provide details Thursday night, but he says "we're still talking about a number of things."
Last month, The Baltimore Sun reported O'Malley's first mention of bringing up legislation in addition to redistricting during the special session.
House Speaker Michael Busch, D-Anne Arundel, said earlier this week that he didn't see anything on the agenda for the special session beyond redistricting, and that he didn't expect that to change.
O'Malley has called a special session to begin on Oct. 17 for redistricting.
