Police Arrest Woman Suspected Of Abducting Friend's Baby

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ)— Police have arrested a woman who they say abducted her friend's baby.

Tiara Monique-Williams was arrested in Suitland, Md., at the home of a relative around 2 p.m. Thursday. She will be charged with child abduction.

Police believe Monique-Williams, 23, took 16-month-old Kayden King-Gayman while watching her alone at the child's mother's home in the 9400-block of Ridge View Drive in Columbia.

The incident was reported to police around midnight. Several hours later, the baby was found safe with a relative of Monique-Williams.

Investigators found the child unharmed at the same location in Suitland earlier Thursday. Monique-Williams was not at the location at the time the child was found, but returned to the residence later and was arrested.

Howard County Police were aided by the FBI, Secret Service and Maryland State Police in this investigation.
