Man Admits Pushing Toddler Who Later Died

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown man is being held on $750,000 bond on child-abuse charges stemming from injuries that proved fatal to a 2-year-old boy.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports Brian Miller, 33, had a bond review hearing Wednesday.

Police say Miller acknowledged in an interview that he pushed Logan Sellers to the floor of his girlfriend's apartment after the boy trashed a bedroom.

Miller declined to discuss the case during his court hearing.

The boy died Monday at Children's National Medical Center in Washington. Medical workers say he had swelling of the brain and facial bruises and abrasions. One medical report also says his brain apparently was deprived of oxygen for a period of time.

Miller was charged with first-degree child abuse before Logan's death. Prosecutors say they're considering additional charges.
