Frederick County Group Honors Artists

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — The Frederick County Arts Council says it’s adding more local names to its hall of fame.

The group is set to induct the new honorees at an annual banquet Wednesday in Frederick.

The hall of fame is six years old. Previous inductees include poet Francis Scott Key, photographer Joyce Michaud and opera singer Richard Troxell.

The event also includes the announcement of Community Arts Development recipients. The council says it will distribute more than $36,000 to 19 different arts organizations and nonprofit agencies this fiscal year.
