TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)—A 16-year-old girl disappeared in Baltimore County and her body was never found. On Thursday, a jury convicted the man charged with her murder.
Jason Gross was found guilty of killing Rochelle Battle. Police believe he incinerated the teen’s body in his backyard.
Rochelle went missing in March 2009, and her family hasn’t heard from her since.
Her cell phone records led police to Gross.
This is only the second time a person in Baltimore County has been convicted of murder without the victim’s body.Last year, Dennis Tetso was convicted of murdering his wife, though her body was never found.
