WASHINGTON (AP) — Maryland is among the top 10 states nationwide when it comes to energy efficiency according to a new scorecard.
The Washington-based American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy says it plans to release the scorecard on Thursday at the National Press Club.
The council says its scorecard ranks all 50 states and the District of Columbia on policies and programs that encourage energy efficiency in buildings, transportation, and industry. The council works to improve energy efficiency nationwide through policies and programs as well as technologies, investments, and energy efficient behaviors.
