BLOG: Warm-Up Just Ahead, But Temperatures Drop Again

Hello Fall!

After starting out in the low 40s, we only topped out at 60 degrees this afternoon. Sunshine gave way to a low layer of clouds. Those clouds are breaking up overnight, and temperatures are on the way back down again. We are forecasting a low of 39 degrees at BWI-Marshall, with outlying areas even lower. There is even a freeze warning in effect for Garrett County. Just a sign of the things to come in the near future.

We will warm up again starting tomorrow. Expect highs in the mid 60s Sunday, then close to 70 Monday through Wednesday. One front will pass north of us tomorrow into Monday. Other than the slightest chance for a shower, there will just be some clouds.

A new and larger storm will come our way Wednesday. There could be some rain already on Wednesday, then more rain possible on both Thursday and Friday. That's when temperatures will take another big hit. We will drop back down to the upper 50s/near 60 for the end of the week.

Have a great weekend everyone!
